Care Philosophy
The values and beliefs that guide the thoughts and
actions of the members of staff at Broadgate are stated
in detail in the homes Statement of Purpose and our
Polices and Procedures. These need to be read in order
to gain a full understanding of the Philosophy of Care.
However a brief statement with encompasses our
Philosophy of Care would be:-
In planning and carrying out a programme of Care for
our Clients as individuals and as a social group, their
well being and happiness shall always be of utmost
importance. As a Team working together, we believe in
caring for our clients as Individuals recognising their
Spiritual, Psychological needs as well as their Physical
needs. Every person at every level will ensure that the
best way their care is planned and carried out is to the
best of their ability and they will seek ways to
continually improve their performance, thereby assuring
the best quality of Care. We will provide Privacy,
protect Dignity and maintain appropriate to ability the
Independence of each client. We will respect the
confidentially that is our privilege to share
All clients are very welcome to come for the day if they
wish to do so with a relative/friend to see if they feel
the home would be suitable for them. This can be
arranged through the Matron of the home.
The Care Standards Commission inspects the home on a
regular basis; there report is available for Clients,
Relatives or Friends to see at any time. If you wish to
see the report, they are placed in Reception or please
ask the Matron who will be happy to give you a copy to
read, before you make a decision to come and live in our
home.
All clients will have a Care Plan; this will be
discussed with you if you are able to do so, otherwise
your next of Kill will be asked to help plan your care.
You are entitled to see your Care Plan at any time, if
your relative wishes to see the Plan of Care your
consent will be needed, under the Data Protection Act
1998. A review of your Care Plan will be undertaken on a
monthly basis unless there is a need beforehand with
your Named Care worker.
The services we provide are listed along with any
additional payments that may be required. We hope you
find the information useful to you. If you feel you have

and see the Matron who will be only too willing to help. |
